Public sector and government projects operate differently from private construction. Approvals take longer. Inspections are more frequent. Specifications are more prescriptive. And the finished facility has to deliver long-term value to the community that funded it.
Elance Steel has fabricated and installed steel for hospitals, correctional facilities, court buildings, fire halls, water treatment plants, transit infrastructure, and municipal landmarks across Saskatchewan and Alberta. That includes the Saskatoon Provincial Corrections Centre, the Weyburn General Hospital, the Prince Albert Victoria Hospital, SaskPower’s logistics warehouse, and steel components for the Edmonton LRT. We’ve also completed distinctive public work like the CPR Bridge stairs and light stands near Saskatoon’s Weir and the Chinese Gate, both City of Saskatoon projects with specific architectural and fabrication requirements.
This range of work has given us a practical understanding of how public sector projects run: the documentation, the approval processes, the inspection requirements, and the coordination with multiple stakeholders and authorities. Our in-house design, fabrication, and installation teams are set up to support that process rather than slow it down.
