Entertainment and recreation facilities ask more of their steel than most buildings. The spans are longer, the roof structures are more complex, and the geometry often has to accommodate seating layouts, acoustic requirements, and architectural features that don’t follow a standard grid.
Elance Steel has fabricated and installed steel for theatres, multiplexes, auditoriums, and community venues across Saskatchewan. For the Moose Jaw Multiplex, we designed, fabricated, and installed large curved trusses spanning up to 180 feet. At the Galaxy Theatre in Saskatoon, we built the steel-framed seating structures. For the Centennial Auditorium, we handled an addition built between two existing buildings, where the steel had to tie into structures on both sides.
These projects share a common requirement: the steel has to be precise. When trusses span 150 or 180 feet, small fabrication errors become big installation problems. Our in-house design, fabrication, and installation teams work together from the start to make sure what leaves the shop fits the building.
